Juanita and Joanna Wright, identical twins, have shared a life-long passion for enhancing and, ultimately, promoting human beauty. Specializing in both hair and make-up respectively, these industry visionaries have established a successful business founded on the premise that beauty is more than skin deep—it is also reflected in the spirit and souls of their clients. Wright Touch Traveling Spa delivers the total spa experience to the client. Working as a team, we offer a wide range of spa services from skin care to hair, hand rituals to foot rituals, and massages to facials, just to name a few. We have been in business two years and have over 20 contracted spa technicians so we can facilitate 100 clients or more at our spa events. We are currently serving over one hundred clients per month and have been featured in several major magazine publications including a Washingtonian magazine, and Northern Virginia & Suite Magazine. Additionally we appeared on the nationally syndicated Michael Basdin radio show and serviced celebrity and clients Patti Labelle and Natalie Cole. Juanita
Juanita is a talented Esthetician and make-up Artist who has more than 15 years experience offering a wide range of skincare options for her clients. Her professional education began at the Zehaza School of Esthetician, Toronto, Canada where she received comprehensive training in the latest skin, facial, nail and body techniques.
She furthered her professional education at the esteemed George Brown College where her learning encompassed numerous techniques and aspects of make-up—including film, TV, runway, photography, and special effects. She has also worked with a number of prestigious organizations including 5 star spas like Elizabeth Milan Spa at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, Nouvelle Maria Spa at Le Royal Meridian King Edward, Derrick Rutledge About Face, LLC. Juanita has served as Head Make-up Artist and Esthetician for such companies as Lancôme, Channel and Estee Lauder. Her innovative style has quickly established her as one of the industry's emerging esthetician, affording her the pleasure of working with such notable celebrities as First Lady Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez, Patti Labelle, Natalie Cole, Robert Townsend and Chaka Khan.
After spending years honing their respective crafts, Joanna and Juanita have collaborated to form The Wright Touch Traveling Spa—an innovative spa boasting the finest services and unparalleled luxury, delivered in a setting selected by the customer. They enthusiastically believe that an authentic spa experience is as much spiritual as it is physical.
Joanna
A master of her craft, Joanna has spent the past six years styling both European and Super Curly hair. Utilizing her skills developed at the Marvel Hair and Esthetics School, she possesses extensive knowledge of chemicals and compound substances, as well as experience mixing colors for all stages and applications in hair treatments. In creating her own style, she has constantly worked on her own innovative techniques, always pushing the boundaries for hair.
Her experience encompasses all demographics and genders, and has included makeovers from natural to theatrical. She has also worked in Elite Day and Wellness Spas, as well as lending her professional talents to numerous high-end fashion shows. Joanna believes that a great hairstyle starts with listening to the client and eventually educating them about their styling options. Her clientele consists of CEOs, government officials, local celebrities and professional men and women.
